MEDFORD, OR, March 22, 2018 -- Britt Education & Engagement’s Guitar Weekend is an immersive 3-day workshop taught by seven virtuoso instructors that culminates in a Guitar Faculty Concert on Sunday, June 24, 2018. The weekend is for anyone who is interested in exploring a wide range of guitar playing, beginners to advanced, ages 13 and up. Instructors will help develop good practice and listening habits/routines, examine traditional chord progressions, learn new rhythmic concepts and much more. Eight 2-hour sessions will focus on: Bossa Nova, Improvisation, Fingerstyle, Blues Slide, Americana, Ragtime Blues, Flamenco, and Classical.
All Britt Guitar Weekend activities are supported through a partnership with Siskiyou Music Project, who will provide some scholarships for the weekend (contact Ed Dunsavage at email@example.com). Hilltop Music Shop is also partnering with Britt Education on the weekend, and is offering 20% off repairs, guitar set-ups & accessories at Hilltop Music Shop to all registrants - an offer that is good for 30 days before and 30 days after the weekend.
Admission to two evening faculty concerts is included in the full price of registration. For a second year, nationally recognized artists Vicki Genfan and Terry Robb return as faculty, and will be performing an additional concert at Hilltop Music Shop on Friday, June 22, 2018.
