Fine Arts Poster – Call to Artists

Submission period extended to August 15th!

Britt’s Fine Arts Poster is a cherished tradition that celebrates Britt’s concert series and music through the visual arts. Britt is seeking an original piece of artwork by a local artist to commemorate the 2020 season through a Fine Arts Poster. We may also select artists for 2021 and beyond.

Specifications for the final work (see process and submission guidelines below):

Original work must represent an aspect of the Britt Experience of concerts under the stars in the outdoor amphitheater in Jacksonville. It can be a work that has already been created, or one created specifically for the Fine Arts Poster.

The original work can be of any medium that could be scanned or photographed so that it can be used in print formats.

Artist will donate original work to Britt Festivals.

Preference:

Representational artwork is preferred over abstract artwork. It should be a piece that can be easily incorporated into a marketing piece, with negative space where text could be incorporated. Possible uses could be a “season-at-a-glance” poster, playbill cover, large poster, postcards, etc.

Selection process/procedure:
  • Selection of artists will be done by a committee made up of Britt staff and local artists. Committee will select an artist for the 2020 Fine Arts Poster, and artists for future years.
  • Artists interested in being selected should submit the following by August 15, 2019:
