Britt welcomes psychedelic rock act The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and a reggae rock night with Slightly Stoopid and SOJA

MEDFORD, OR — In an early peek at the 2016 season, Britt Music & Arts Festival announces two concerts for the summer lineup. California reggae rock band Slightly Stoopid returns to the Britt hill on Thursday, June 16, for a stop on their “Return of the Red Eye” tour. Then, on Friday, July 22, Britt welcomes The Claypool Lennon Delirium, a project of Primus frontman Les Claypool and progressive rocker Sean Lennon.

Britt President and CEO Donna Briggs says, “These two fun shows are just a teaser to what is shaping up to be another fantastic season. We expect some sold-out concerts this year!”

Slightly Stoopid has described the band’s music as a fusion of folk, rock, reggae and blues with hip-hop, funk, metal and punk. They have toured continuously for nearly two decades, and their latest album, Meanwhile…Back at the Lab, was released by their own label, Stoopid Records, in June 2015. This date also includes performances by the Grammy-nominated reggae band SOJA, as well as Zion I, The Grouch and Eligh.

The Claypool Lennon Delirium is a new project by progressive rockers Les Claypool and Sean Lennon. Claypool described their partnership, saying, “Sean is a musical mutant after my own heart. He definitely reflects his genetics—not just the sensibilities of his dad, but also the abstract perspective and unique approach of his mother. It makes for a glorious freak stew.” The duo was also announced as part of the Bonaroo Festival lineup earlier this month. The Claypool Lennon Delirium will release a full-length album, Monolith of Phobos, this spring.

Ticket sales for these two concerts are on sale now to Britt members, and orders will be filled by member level. General public sales will be available online only, and will begin Friday, March 25 at 9 a.m. Patrons can visit for more information, or call the box office at 541-773-6077.

In addition to Slightly Stoopid and The Claypool Lennon Delirium, tickets are also on sale for The Piano Guys, the Best of Britt fundraiser featuring Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, and the 2016 Britt Orchestra season.

The full Britt 2016 season will be announced on April 7. Information on programs, membership and more is available at
